Faculty interested in setting up a workshop for their students or in-class instruction please contact Andrew Maravegias at amaravegias @sjny.edu or 631.687.2628 to make arrangements. 

Students interested in additional training should contact the Callahan Library 3D Printing Librarians via email at Callahan3dprinting@sjny.edu to discuss the possibility of further instruction and use.

Use Policy:

At this time only designated Library staff will have hands-on access to the 3D printer and scanner.  

The Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.  The 3D printer may be used only for lawful purposes. No one will be permitted to use the Library’s 3D printer to create material that is:

1. Prohibited by local, state or federal law.
2. A weapon; or replica thereof, unsafe, harmful, dangerous or poses an immediate threat to the well-being of others.
3. Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the Library environment.
4. In violation of another’s intellectual property rights. For example, the printer will not be used to reproduce material subject to copyright, patent or trademark protection.

Refusal to print an item is at the discretion of library staff.  In the event your request is in violation of these terms, you will be contacted as soon as possible.
