Callahan reference librarians can provide a student or faculty member doing in-depth research with a temporary Long Island Library Resources Council - Research Loan Program (LILRC-RLP) card to use at a specific Long Island library. The temporary card allows users to borrow library books from the cooperating library. When requesting a research loan card, please be prepared to supply the author, title and call number of at least one item in the cooperating library.
Before requesting a Research Loan card please consult with a librarian to ensure that you have located all relevant material at the Callahan Library.
The McEntegart Hall Library belongs to the Academic Libraries of Brooklyn (ALB), a consortium of eight academic libraries in Brooklyn. ALB has a unique open access policy. This cooperative program allows students, faculty and staff of any ALB member library to use the book resources of the other member libraries.
Ask at the Reference Desk or call 718.840.5880 to obtain an ALB card and receive further information on privileges, procedures and responsibilities.
